Eldon Leiter, tel (816) 826-3738, can lecture for your local Lions Club, Rotary, Kiwanas Club, local historical society, or community college. He has been captured by Communist terrorists while on an archaeology field trip in a remote area of Central America, and was kidnapped while on expedition to photograph a lost city deep in the jungles of Quintana Roo.

Leiter has done extensive photography for the Calakmul archaeology project of Dr William Folan, Universidad Autonoma de Campeche, Mexico. Leiter's photographs have been used on the covers of archaeological monographs.

Leiter also specializes in photographing exotic tropical flora and fauna, so his exhibit is alive with lots of colorful images for your community.

If you are interested in volunteering to join a field trip led by archaeology professor Nicholas Hellmuth, telephone Eldon Leiter to ask what this experience is like. Leiter began as a volunteer for F.L.A.A.R. over 17 years ago, and has worked with F.L.A.A.R. in Germany, Guatemala, Mexico, and Honduras. Leiter has also taken part in archaeology tours led by Hellmuth to Peru.

Jack Sulak has done professional photography on F.L.A.A.R. field trips and expeditions for at least 15 years. He has done architectural recording of Maya palaces at the Chenes site of Santa Rosa Xtampak, Campeche, Mexico

Sulak has exhibited at the BCC+FLAAR Maya Weekends, and at comparable Maya events in Cleveland. He is an accomplished Maya iconographer and uses this experience as editor of F.L.A.A.R. publications. He can be reached at [email protected]

For an exhibit of architectural drawings of MAYA BALLCOURTS (also including ballcourts of Tula and El Tajin) please contact David Morgan c/o F.L.A.A.R. Morgan's professional architectural drawings have appeared in National Geographic, in Archaeology magazine, and elsewhere.

Photographs are also available for publications

Although F.L.A.A.R. does not sell single photographs to individuals (we are not a commercial company) we are interested in sharing our photographic resources for larger projects such as CD-ROM, textbooks, coffee table books, or national and international magazines. Perhaps your university, art department, or your museum might also like to have at least a segment of the F.L.A.A.R. Photo Archive. We have more than 3,000 extra original slides available. These are not cheap duplicates, these are original slides, Leica quality.
