When it is time to select your hotel within Belize City consider the Radisson Fort George, hotel and marina. The price is actually less for this five star hotel than the resorts out on Ambergris Caye. You can pay over $230 a night elsewhere and not get a room as nice or as large as the rooms at the Radisson Fort George in Belize City, Belize. The fine rooms of the Radisson Fort George Hotel are about US $179, a considerable savings. Also, it is a lot easier to get to all the Maya ruins from the Fort George Hotel than from the distant cayes.

Andrea liked the colorful pictures of local Caribbean flowers and fruits on the wall. Overall we would rate the room decoration is better than most other hotels. The furniture was of a correspondingly high quality. After all, the Fort George Hotel was the best in Belize since its beginning, indeed for years was the only first class hotel that knowledgeable travelers even considered. Now, as part of the Radisson, the Fort George Hotel and Marina continues its enviable tradition.

Some rooms have a single giant bed, other rooms have two large beds. As far as I could tell most rooms have a desk and comfortable sitting chairs as well.
