Here are two sample pages from the new 200+ page book on Maya art, iconography, and hieroglyphic inscriptions on vases, bowls, and plates. The book, in large format, is authored by Nicholas Hellmuth. As soon as this art book is published, this will be announced on all the various FLAAR web sites.

The importance of the Mayan hieroglyphic inscriptions in this particular book is that the majority have not been messed up by attempts at restoration. It is ironic that the better the restorer is, the more experience they have, the more damage they do to the details of the glyphs. In cases where the vessel surface has been restored, this is stated clearly so that there is no dubious feeling, wondering whether the pots are really ancient or not.
